Another new school year is right around the corner, and if you're like many parents, it means your kids will be walking to school in the morning and home after the last bell of the day rings.While the state of Florida recommends that no children be left home alone until they are 18, that's not practical. Parents are busy, and sometimes there's not enough time to drive them to school or money to pay for busing or before- and after-school supervision. Sometimes kids have to get to school (and home again) on their own.
